BALTIMORE, MD (Tuesday, June 1, 2021) — Due to a recent guidance regarding events and gatherings, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Right of Way Division's Office of Special Events and the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’ (BCRP) Special Events & Permits Office will begin to accept special event permit applications starting today, Tuesday, June 1, for events to be hosted after Monday, July 5. 

Applicants are asked to please allow a six-to-eight-week review period for all applications. 

Per the latest guidance, the following applies for all permitted events: 

• Masks are mandatory at all ticketed events unless actively eating or drinking. 
  • Run and walk events do not require participants to wear masks.
• Social distancing is encouraged.
• Capacity limits apply to space restrictions only. No COVID-related capacity restrictions are in place at this time.
